What is radiofrequency and how it works?

In the context of aesthetics, the radiofrequency is a method of in-depth heating of the skin by radio waves. On the skin surface a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius is created, while the layers underneath are heated up to 60 degrees Celsius. It functions by emitting low frequency radio waves of 3 kHz to 300 MHz, which has great results.

The bi-polar radio frequency (RF) is a more sophisticated than the mono-polar radio frequency (RF) when taken into consideration the results which are achieved.

	Mono-polar is the first generation of RF which is not as perfected, because the current passes through the skin surface, while the greater amount of the current is wasted and passes through the vascular system, because of what there is no effective heating of the fat and the results are incomparably smaller.
	Bi-polar RF is a more sophisticated method of RF where the whole RF current flows between two identical electrodes set in a fixed sonda. The advantages of bi-polar RF is that it can simultaneously treat the dermis and the sub dermal layers of the skin. Hence the treatment is painless and pleasant, showing immediate results for a very short period of time.

Cellulite is a slow degenerative process which is carried out in the subdermal fat-containing tissue and is manifested on the skin surface in the shape of orange peel. Nowadays more than 80% of the women over 18 display some degree of cellulite, even the underweight ones.

The skin surface in the shape of orange peel is mostly manifested on the lower limbs, abdomen and pelvic region. The local heating-up of those surfaces increases the amount of liquid fat which are released by the heating up of the tissue.
